Yin yoga invites you to slow down for a meditative practice, emphasizing longer held postures (3 to 5 minutes) to tap into your body’s deeper connective tissues.
Yin yoga helps flexibility, boosts circulation, reduces tension and releases stress.
It is suitable for all levels, no yoga experience is required.
What to bring: Yoga mat, water bottle and any props you might have to get comfortable in a pose. Eg. Yoga blocks, yoga bolster, blanket and yoga strap.
There will be some props available so do not be put off if you do not own any yoga paraphernalia.

Restorative Yoga 11/20 $18
Restorative Yoga invites you to completely relax your body and lets you reset the neuro-connections from brain to body, giving you an overall feeling of wellness.
In restorative yoga, your body is completely supported in each pose so your muscles do not have to work at all. Each pose is held for 10 minutes, letting your body and mind completely reset. Although 10 minutes sounds like a long time, you will be surprised how your mind goes into a meditative state and the time flies.
Restorative yoga is suitable for all levels. No yoga experience is required.
What to bring: Yoga mat, water bottle, blanket and any props you might have to get into each pose. Eg. Yoga blocks, yoga bolster, blanket and yoga strap.
There will be some props available.
To sign up for the classes, go to Yoga for Life NC on Meet Up (https://www.meetup.com/yogaforlifenc/) and confirm attendance. Classes will cost $12.00 for a 90 minute class.
